Flying will start 8:30 AM Map at www. korc.ca All flyers must have current MAAC or AMA. Minimum wingspans – Monoplanes 80”, Biplanes 60”, and any ¼ scale airplane ( with documentation showing originals w.s. ) We will also have a BIG BIRD only swap meet on Saturday afternoon – anything relating to Big Birds. SOCIETY Fall Classic Float Fly This is the largest Float-Fly in western Canada. It takes place at Sandy Point Resort, 5km west of Salmon Arm, BC. Registration will begin Tuesday Sept. 7. Flying will go on all week with the event wrap up taking place on Sunday September 12th. We will provide a retrieval boat and a frequency board from at least that time on for early arrivals. In addition to great flying, there will be a bonfire or evening fires or both, raffles and other entertainment. Splash-down fee is $15.00. SOCIETY (VRCM) Victoria Electric Fly-In Come join us at our fourth annual Electric fly in at the beautiful Michell Field flying site in Victoria. Your registration includes lunch and beverages for the day; dinner is an additional $10 (steak or chicken, plus fixins!). There will also be an optional three-event foamy fun fly after dinner. Generators will be on site along with several DC power supplies for you to hook up to. A few chargers will also be available; bring your own connectors. This is a laid back, relax and enjoy the flying event. MAAC is required, and aircraft will be subject to a quick safety check if you've not flown at the field before. FLYERS To-Sink-It TO SINK IT This event is a float fly on Burns Lake, from a beautiful park like setting on private property. There is dry camping, with a pot luck supper Saturday night. Dogs are welcome, on a leash, if you clean up after them. Guests start arriving on the Friday, and often get in a few more flights Monday morning before they leave. Flight demonstrations will include WWI & WWII warbirds, civilian scale aircraft, 3D Freestyle as well as turbine and electric jet performances. The show runs from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm both days with raffle prizes, 50/50 draw and concession. Admission to this great event is by donation. Free parking. It is a simple .doc file that the competitor must download, fill out, save & print. You can then send it via mail with the entry fee to the Contest Director. Entry Fee is $100 Canadian and is non refundable. Entry deadline is July 1st 2010 Basic Club Rules: A VRCMS Member must be in attendance (I will be there:-) and valid MAAC insurance displayed. All club rules and safe flying area's must be strictly adhered to. No Flying before 10 a.m. (no exceptions.) MODELERS Lake Cowichan Float Fly Enjoy a weekend in September at the Lakeview Park site where for 23 years plane modelers have gotten together, relaxed and enjoyed flying their models off wonderful Cowichan Lake. Mid day Friday,17 September to Mid day Sunday, 19 September 2010. 8:00 AM to Dusk on Saturday. Just north of Duncan BC, get on Hwy 18 to the Town of Lake Cowichan. A half kilometer past the Town turn right at the Lakeview Park sign. Follow Float Fly signs. Registration fee is by donation to the Nicole Stock Penny Drive, a local Town of Lake Cowichan charity for sick kids. 72 sites are available for camping. 36 with power and water.
